Follow steps below to turn off 2-factor authentication for\u00a0your Apple ID.<\/p>\n

1. Sign in to\u00a0appleid.apple.com<\/a><\/h2>\n

Go to the \u201cSecurity<\/strong>\u201d section. Then click \u201cEdit<\/strong>\u201d if you are using a desktop browser.<\/p>\n

2. Tap on “Turn Off Two-Factor Authentication”.<\/h2>\n

Can’t find\u00a0the option to turn off two-factor authentication?<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/h2>\n

Apple removed the option to turn off two-factor authentication on some Apple IDs created in iOS 10.3 or macOS 10.12.4 and later.<\/p>\n

In such a case, you have four options:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Method 1:<\/h3>\n

If you recently enabled two-factor authentication, however, you can unenroll for a period of\u00a0two weeks<\/strong>. Just\u00a0open your enrollment confirmation email<\/strong>\u00a0and click the link to return to your previous security settings.\u00a0
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Method 2:<\/h3>\n

Contact Apple support<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and ask them to disable two-factor authentication for you.<\/p>\n

Method 3:<\/h3>\n

To turn off two-factor authentication, sign in to the iPhone’s Apple ID account page at https:\/\/appleid.apple.com\/ and click Edit in the Security section.<\/p>\n

Then click Turn Off Two-Factor Authentication. After you create new security questions and verify your date of birth, two-factor authentication will be turned off.<\/p>\n

If someone has turned on two-factor authentication for your Apple ID without your permission, you can also turn it off from the enrollment confirmation email sent to your Apple ID or rescue email address.<\/p>\n

Click Turn Off Two-Factor Authentication at the bottom of the email to restore your Apple ID to its previous security settings and regain control of your account. The link is active for two weeks after you enroll.<\/p>\n

Method 4:<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n

Register a New iCloud ID<\/strong>\u00a0on Apple website and change the iCloud ID on the iPhone. (You can keep the old Apple ID for App Store on the iPhone)<\/p>\n

Create a New iCloud ID<\/h4>\n

Go to\u00a0https:\/\/appleid.apple.com\/account#!&page=create<\/a>\u00a0to create a new iCloud ID. Verify your Email after signing up. (1,2,3)<\/p>\n

Switch to a New iCloud ID without changing the current Apple ID for App Store<\/h4>\n

  1. Go to Device\u00a0Settings > Apple ID<\/strong>, scroll down to tap on\u201cSign Out<\/strong>\u201d > \u201cSign Out of iCloud<\/strong>\u201d, input the password, and tap on \u201cTurn Off<\/strong>\u201d. (1,2,3)\"\"<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. Choose the data types to be kept on the phone, then tap on \u201cSign Out<\/strong>\u201d on the\u00a0top right.\"\"<\/a><\/li>\n
  3. On\u00a0Settings<\/strong>\u00a0>\u00a0Apple ID<\/strong>, tap on Apple ID, select “Not xxx@xxx.com<\/strong>“, and input the\u00a0new iCloud ID and password<\/strong>. (1,2)\"\"<\/a><\/li>\n
  4. Then you have\u00a0switched to a new iCloud account successfully.\u00a0The two-factor authentication is disabled.<\/li>\n
